“Competing in sports made me the person I am today. Nothing is better at building a girl’s confidence and future success.But when a male steals a spot on a girls’ sports team, a girl’s dream is denied. I was forced to compete against a male athlete during my time in collegiate volleyball. Leaders in positions of power failed us. We were abandoned by the system. That’s why I’m supporting the Protect Girls Sports ballot measure that protects female spaces and designates Arizona sports as male, female or co-ed. Everyone gets to participate.
